Recently at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Entergy proudly continued its partnership with the American Indian College Fund, or the College Fund, by announcing a significant grant aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for Native American students.
Entergy New Orleans and Gibbs Construction have received the Louisiana Landmarks Society “2024 Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation” for restoration work on the Claiborne Substation located at 425 Elysian Fields Avenue. This is a major milestone for Entergy New Orleans and our partners marking the successful planning, restoration, and revitalization of this historic site.

For the sixth consecutive year, Entergy New Orleans proudly sponsored Rebuilding Together New Orleans’ annual Build and Boil, reaffirming our long-standing commitment to community development and neighborhood revitalization.
For some people, giving back is built into their DNA. Jonathan Simmons, operations technician at Entergy’s Independence Plant in Arkansas, has already logged more than 145 volunteer hours this year.
Dress for Success New Orleans recently held its annual SUSCO Styled for Success Luncheon, a fundraising event that brought together fashion, philanthropy, and empowerment. This year’s fashion show included looks from local boutiques and featured Entergy line workers from the Tulane Avenue and Central Business District stations walking the runway alongside the models.
In early March 2025, Entergy sponsored the 8th Annual Career Expo presented by YouthForce NOLA and Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans. The event welcomed more than 2,100 high school students from over 20 schools across the Greater New Orleans region.
Entergy is proud to be named to the JUST 100 list of America's Most JUST Companies by JUST Capital and CNBC for the third time. Serving our customers across Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas, Entergy was honored in 2023 and 2022 as well. This year, we ranked 64th overall and 8th among utilities.
This holiday season, Entergy brought smiles to customers with the return of “Operation Secret Santa.” At the Canal Street Customer Care Center, select customers were pleasantly surprised as Santa stepped in to cover their utility bills, thanks to The Power to Care, part of Entergy’s program dedicated to assisting low-income families and households.
As a leader in our communities for more than 100 years, Entergy is committed to keeping our customers' bills affordable, especially for our customers struggling to pay their bills. That’s why earlier this year, we launched our new task force, Leading Energy Affordability for All, or LEAF.
